Our story began in 1994 when two brothers, Robert and David Langmead started their Bagged Salad operation with the big idea to combine the freshest, locally grown lettuce with the latest food manufacturing technology.
Today, Natures Way Foods is one of the UK's leading fresh prepared food manufacturers, specialising in the supply of fresh, convenient food to major retail and food service customers. Our success is built on long-term supplier and customer relationships, delivering excellence in Quality, Service and Value.
We employ over 1000 full-time colleagues across our four manufacturing units. We are guided by an experienced Management Board and Non-Executive Directors to deliver commitments to colleagues, customers, suppliers and shareholders.

The Langmead family traces back to 1590 in Devon, where the family held a variety of businesses including farming.
1881
William and Nancy Langmead moved to West Sussex with their four sons and William established a series of land holdings and a string of dairies.
1926
Walter James Langmead focused on farm breeding, genetics and technology to prove integral to improving farming during WW2 becoming a pioneer of professional farming and championed mechanisation.
1950
Brian Langmead (Robert and David's father) took over the farming tenancy at Home Farm in Selsey and developed the largest dairy herd in Europe milking 720 cows three times a day. Introducing the cow kennels to the UK, manufacturing and selling them to the dairy industry.
1994
David and Robert Langmead started their Bagged Salad operation. The big idea to combine the freshest, locally grown lettuce with the latest manufacturing technology which is Natures Way Foods.
1994
Proudly started supplying Tesco with Bagged Salads.
1999
By 1999 Natures Way Foods became the fastest growing food company in the UK, topping the rankings in the Sunday Times Virgin Fastrack 100. First as CEO and subsequently as Chairman, Robert Langmead drove the company to huge success.
2000
2000 - NWF was the first UK food producer to win the ISO 14001 Environmental Sustainability Award. Later going on to win the ISO 50001 International Standard Certification, which recognises best practices in energy management.
2004
Natures Way Foods invested in Sun Salads Ltd watercress farms. With 5 watercress farms in the UK and 1 in Spain, Sun Salads supplies fresh watercress for retail and wholesale all year round.
2014
We entered the Coleslaw category and started to supply Tesco.
2016
Natures Way Foods was named the UK's 21st largest fresh produce supplier in this year's FPJ 'Big 50' Companies listing, climbing three places from last year, continuing the company's journey from small Bagged Salad supplier to leading fresh food manufacturer.
2019
We produced over 6 million units in one week which was the most units ever recorded and celebrated 25 years of business.

Natures Way Foods became the number one supplier in Bagged Salads, Potato Salad and Coleslaw
