Our factories are located on the beautiful South Coast of England, between the Isle of Wight and Bognor Regis, which is a prime location for growing fresh salad ingredients.
Leaf
The UK coast is the ideal location for growing salad leaves during the summer. The sea spreads cool air over the land and also reflects the sun - acting as a natural radiator. This unique combination of good light, fertile soil and mild temperatures means our factories are perfectly placed to package the freshest salads.
When the UK's winter climate becomes too cold to grow lettuce, we source our raw material from countries such as France, Italy and Spain. With warmer winter climates, southern Europe provides ideal salad growing conditions for fresh tasty leaves.
Fruit
Unlike leaf our fruit ingredients have to be sourced from countries a bit further away, like Spain, Italy, Costa Rica and Brazil. Here the climates are perfect for growing a wide variety of fruits, especially the exotic ones, all year round. Variable seasonality and distance are two key challenges we face with supplying prepared fruit. Our Supply Chain work closely with the growers to ensure we source the best quality fruit for our products.
